How They Work
Step 1: Truck Enters the Capture Zone
The runaway truck moves into the designated area. The system can be placed in roadside, median, or other spots based on site needs. No traffic crossing required.
Step 2: First Net Captures the Vehicle
The truck contacts the lead high-strength net. The net wraps around the front and spreads impact force evenly across the system.
Step 3: Nets Engage Progressively
Multiple nets activate one after another as the truck moves forward. This staged action creates smooth, controlled slowing.
Step 4: Energy Absorbers Do the Work
Each net connects to canisters. Steel tape pulls through friction mechanisms inside. This converts speed into heat and resistance while keeping forces under 1G.
Step 5: Safe and Stable Stop
The truck comes to a halt upright. Distance is typically 200 to 330 feet. Low risk of rollover, cargo shift, or major damage.
